Despite getting a letter from M. François BIZET at Diplômé d’Etudes Supérieures en Sciences Politiques on behalf of the Maison de Balmain wasn’t very pleasant, however, I understood their concern and respect the creator and the house. Other than that, 2009 has kicked of well so far, bumping into Kate Moss, just did two successful press presentation and been well-received by press, even though they were hectic and chaotic, coverage are coming out gradually, all worth the effort. Then, receiving an invitation to becoming a contributor of a fabulous online shop/ fashion site from NYC certainly made my day(s). Maybe I should start believing that people that faraway actually visit and read my blog. Watch it, you’ll see my critic on FW09 menswear soon. And it’s only 11 Jan.

As you can see this is a new home for stylepov at wordpress, judging by others’ and suggested by JustJR. I’m convinced this is be a better place to be, although still digging my head and soul to figure out bits and bobs, try to get used to it, as well as re-arranging all the tags and cates which can take forever, but it’ll be good, let’s say a better blog server than blogspot.

Finally – done! What a bloody hectic fortnight!!!
I said to myself not to take seasonal big issue for magazine from 2 seasons ago, I cannot believe I just did it again, not for just one but two magazines. Big hands for myself… It was really crazy and major mental exhausting, won’t surprise if I get meningitis; but no, what really kept me going was, whenever I think of the opportunities to promote, to introduce newer designers whom I think he/she with talent and deserves the little mentioning by mini me in the coverage. I know I’m no Suzy or Diane, let alone Anna, Franca or Carine, but if mini me don’t do it, I can dare say barely anyone else would in town, soooo… Just wanna say BIG thank you to Garance Doré, Bryan Boy, justJR and Tommy Ton of Jak&Jil for their brief and brilliant answer to all my questions. THANK YOU ~ Now, you lots might wonder what’s this about, damn, can’t expose just yet, but this little project is gonna be interesing for Hong Kong readers. I can only exposed it here on/ after 1 Sept, promised.
Now. Next. That means a special X’mas cafe in Hong Kong, fund raising for October Contemporary, Tod’s in-store event, model casting, in between regular writing for JET and Milk X, as well as all line-up works for Razor-Red – BUSY!!
Rarely do I go to cinema anymore, but there are 2 movies that I’m intrigued to see. Both of them look stylishly art directed and their leading roles are androgynous and aspiring.[Savage Grace]- Julianne Moore’s red mane is indeed eye catching, but what really drew my attention is actually the young gent who plays her son in it. With identical freckles, red haired Eddie Redmayne is that introvert psycho-esque 23 year old who shines through the still shots. He is one of the faces of Burberry‘s S/S08 campaign, however, judging by the photos, he seems more fitting to Lucas Ossendrijver’s Lanvin. He has the aristocratic air that is required by Lanvin’s clothing.
[Sagan]- a biography played by actress Sylvie Testud, French novelist Francoise Sagan with the infamous female playboy lifestyle was immortalised. Chanel-esque twinset, loose tops, men’s check trousers paired with pearl necklace, LBD and trench coat as well as Sagan’s signature sailor tee, denim jeams and mocassins combo, Testud wore them with grace. Do we ever get sick of the renowned French classics? Not really. Before Audrey Tautou’s [Coco avant Chanel], we have [Sagan].
